2008 marks the 10 year anniversary of OPAL and like all significant anniversaries is a time for reflecting on the past and looking to the future. Thursday evening, July 31st, will feature a reception, OPAL 2.0: Honoring Our Past and focus on the first 10 years of the OPAL Consortium. Friday, August 1st, will focus on OPAL 2.0: Building Our Future and include a keynote presentation by Andrew Pace, Executive Director, OCLC Networked Library Services.

Program highlights…

• Keynote address, Library 2.Oh My: Library Software and Services in a New Era. Andrew Pace will provide an informative and entertaining tour of the Library 2.0 landscape pointing out some of the must-see stops along the way and warning against potential tourist traps.
• A variety of sessions: a panel discussion, concurrent presentations – Something for everyone.
• Opportunities for meeting old colleagues and friends and opportunities for networking and meeting new OPAL colleagues.
• Tour of the Josephinum.
